Saying Goodbye to a Role Model

“I’ll have what she’s having” , a line from the genious of Nora Ephron in the famous deli scene from When Harry Met Sally. Nora not only impacted our culture but brought humor and hope to the world of dating and romance. It was her candor, honesty and self-depricating wit that we honor today. But, even more, the ways she paved the way for women in fillm-making. Nora was among the first women to be both writer and director in a male-dominant field. Thank you, Nora, for the laughter and the tears and for your film and written words that forever enshrine you in our hearts. And, now, a sandwich in your honor.
