So when my friend said that she had decorated for fall, I envisioned pumpkins and gourds occupying every crevice, a wreath made of leaves hanging from the door–even perhaps a seasonal garland made of dried corn (is this too much to ask?).
And voilà, I discovered instead two miniature pumpkins. Not everyone is the next Martha Stewart?
