Music, sunshine, local food, and good friends. What else would you want to be doing on a Saturday? That is exactly why we will be lounging in the grass at Sweetgreen’s Sweetlife Festival on April 28th at the Merriweather Post Pavilion (Weather.com forecast = sunny). Sweetlife has outdone themselves this year with a kickass lineup of bands. The main stage will feature: Avicii, Kid Cudi, The Shins, Explosions in the Sky, Fitz and the Tantrums, Asap Rocky, and Fun.. Get prepped for the day by checking out the Sweetlife mixtape and enter our raffle to win a set of tickets!

As if that was not enough, Sweetlife will also feature an amazing sustainable food and beer selection [aka the food forest] from local farmers, food trucks and restaurants including: gourmet grilled cheese from The Big Cheese, organic popsicles from Pleasant Pops,  all-natural burgers from Shake Shack, sweets from Baked + Wired and much more.

Lastly, Sweetlife has done the unimaginable– it will make you feel good about spending a full day drinking, eating, and laying on your ass. How?

1. A portion of all profits will go to support DC Central Kitchen- a non-profit that fights poverty, hunger, and poor health and distributes over 5,000 meals a day in DC.

2. Sweetlife is committed to sustainability- providing composting bins, using all biodegradable products, and giving prizes to festival goers who recycle.

Recap: By going to Sweetlife you will be helping to fight hunger and save the planet. Pretty sweet — (see what I did there?).

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
