Calling for Your Funny Photos
Faithful readers,
We need your help! Spike the Watercooler is starting a Photo of the Day column. We’re trying to compile mobile uploads from people that are quirky, funny, cute and tell a story in a glance. We would love captions or an explanation (if needed), though any non-captioned pictures are subject to our witty writers’ one-liners.
Images we don’t want:
-Body parts
-Incriminating photos of others
-Images only you and your friends would find entertaining
-Last weekend’s party pics
-Photos others might find crude/disgusting (if it was taken in or anywhere near your bathroom, we don’t want it)
Images we do want:
-Inspiring images (however, we will disregard anything with the caption “Live. Laugh. Love”)
-Pictures of animals in clothing
-Photos that you would show your boss (or bossy lady)/ grandmother/ local spiritual leader
-Funny advertisements, signs, things that make you go “awwwww”
-Pictures of food are ok if they are exceptionally awesome
Please note in your e-mail if you would like to be credited for your photo or remain anonymous. We have a few samples on the website for ideas. Send your pictures to photo@spikethewatercooler.com (if downloading from a mobile upload, it should prompt you for the size of the photo-please select “medium”). If you have any questions about the appropriateness of the photo, chances are it is probably inappropriate, but we would be happy to take a look at it anyway at give you feedback.
